Frequently Asked Questions.
Do you take insurance?
I am paneled with CareFirst and Cigna. For other carriers, I am considered an 'out-of-network' provider. Check with your insurance company to see what your out-of-network coverage is. I will provide you with monthly statements for reimbursement submission that you can send directly to your insurance provider.
What is spiritual integration therapy?
Spiritual integration therapy is similar to general counseling and therapy in that I am trained in the same theory and research that a general Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practices. Spiritual integration therapy is an all-encompassing approach to treatment that recognizes the spiritual aspect as an integral part of being human. For clients with a faith-practice, this offers security in knowing that their spirituality doesn't have to be 'checked at the door,' but is a welcome and integral part of the pursuit toward healing and wholeness.
What if I don't have a faith practice?
That's ok. As I am trained in the same theory and research as a general LCPC, spiritual beliefs or lack thereof are not a prerequisite or a hindrance to our work together.
What is an LCPC?
A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor is a state certification that is required to offer professional psychotherapy. LCPCs must be nationally certified through the Nationally Certified Board of Counselors (NBCC). LCPC's must hold a Master's level degree from an accredited university.
What if I don't live near your office, or am unable to come to your office?
Though it is preferred that we meet face to face, I do provide online counseling.
